My simple truth; I cannot get enough of pumpkin… anything. Today as most it’s the pumpkin bread from ©Starbucks. No matter the season Pumpkin is the flavor of my life. Especially when I have a smooth cup of bold coffee to go with it,.. ha!
The simple truths, the ones taught to us as children. Playtime is an important part of each day. People make the best pillows. Kissing a bo-bo makes it better. A nap will make you feel better. No-one should feel left out. Don’t cut, wait your turn. Never go to bed mad. Don’t lie, cheat, steal, or be disrespectful. Be content. Share. Thank God for the blessings you have. Thank you, Lord, for pumpkin bread. Seriously. And mostly thank you for the amazing people in my life. For financial provision even when it’s tight. For being patient with me and the mess that I am. For the ability to see, touch, hear (mostly), smell, and taste. And for laughter, although I could use a lot more of it.
Truth has not special time of its own. Its hour is now—always and indeed then most truly when it seems unsuitable to actual circumstances. -Albert Schweitzer
"Great truths can only be forgotten and can never be falsified." -G.K. Chesterton
'The trouble with life is, you're halfway through it before you realize it's a "do-it-yourself" thing'. Life’s not fair. People Suck. I suck worse. But God is good and he reigns forever. That’s the simple truth I remind myself of today and claim.
Truth fears no trial.
Today’s challenge: Take time to enjoy a conversation with someone you admire. Ask what simple truths have guided them through life. I'll post my story, you do the same. I'd love to hear it.
